Entrants will have a working knowledge of cellular and broadcast performance testing/standards, and/or an understanding of new vehicle technologies, architectures, diagnostics and EMC or other complex test methods.
Research new technology standards and test parameters/equipment
Optimise new technology services through structured continuous improvement
Write procedural documentation for the delivery of advanced test services
Assist in the development and optimisation of engineering processes and policies
Consultancy. Lead / assist consultancy, and large / complex, customer programmes
Vehicle Resilience will develop innovative, multi-skilled, cross-discipline engineers with a team ethos and a desire to collaborate using new tools and methods. This opportunity is focused primarily on Functional Performance, and more specifically connectivity and advanced verification test methods, however, the cross-discipline approach to Vehicle Resilience will allow successful applicants the opportunity to work on the safety and cybersecurity aspects of Vehicle Resilience also. Applicants will need to demonstrate high-level skills in a number of key areas such as systems engineering, advanced verification development, software/product design and next-generation reporting including advanced metrics and data visualisation.
Broadcast (AM, FM, DAB, DVB-T) services
Cellular (GSM, 3G, 4G, 5G) services WiFi services
V2X (WiFi, Cellular) and Bluetooth services
* Electromagnetic Robustness of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
* Systems Engineering (risk and verification management)
* Problem-solving Secondary focus will include supporting Cybersecurity and Functional Safety specialists to:
* Further, develop our Cybersecurity and Safety services
* Perform any associated new technology research and horizon scanning
Salary Depending on Experience and level
Relevant fields include, but are not limited to:
Cellular connectivity test specialist
Broadcast reception test specialist
ADAS test specialist
Hands-on specialist in the field of advanced test method development and delivery
Successful candidates will work as part of a collaborative team to deliver customer and development programmes across multiple disciplines including EMC, Connectivity, Cybersecurity and Functional Safety for the automotive, off-highway, agricultural and military sectors.
A Degree or PhD are preferred.
Must hold a full driving licence.
