Job Description

Electus is supporting Cable & Splicing Services (CASS) a telecommunications contracting specialist. They have won a major contract and have several opportunities available.

They specialize in delivering turnkey telecom services in fibre, copper, network civils for fibre cities and highways in the UK. They integrate technical disciplines within all legacy, modern and new build communication infrastructures - they do this on both small and very large-scale projects across a broad spectrum of industry, commerce and public access networks.

They are currently recruiting for an experienced and accredited Telecoms Civils Supervisors for work in the Shrewsbury/Shropshire and Greater Midlands/West Midlands/Stoke/Nottingham Area.

The role is field-based, spending minimal time in your designated depot/office.

In your role you will be responsible for:

*Overseeing field activities and resources, ensuring all work sites are safe and compliant to the code of practice whilst maintaining excellent levels of productivity and performance
*Supervision and development of a team of excavation, reinstatement & support gangs installing fibre networks across the UK
*Carrying out daily risk assessments relating to site set-up and ensure respective gang(s) have also completed daily risk assessments
*Collaborating with internal teams, client and local authorities
*Collation of data, including scheme drawings of layout, sections and construction details, as-build
*Communicating with the Management team, including reporting of any changes or deviations from plans
*Completing daily audits, analysing and feeding back results to operational managers including Project Manager, and taking action where required
*Completing site surveys including risk assessments of new sites ensuring any necessary changes and or requirements are reported to the Project Manager
*Dealing with members of public in a polite and professional manner
*Demonstrating strong management with our employees and sub-contractors, adopting a firm, but friendly approach to ensure good long-term working relationships
*Ensuring build remains on target as per completion date, reporting any delays/concerns to the Project Manager.
*Ensuring works are to the correct specifications including documenting and taking pictures, where required
*Overall responsibility for the site set-up and ongoing maintenance, with a strong focus on NRSWA compliance.
*Comfortable working away from home when required
*Comfortable working out of hours when required

You will have the following qualifications and be able to prove experience and competence.

*Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on your licence
*Experience with Supervising Civils teams
*Knowledge of Telecoms Network Build
*BT/Openreach PIA accreditation
*Ability to work alone as well as in a strong team environment
*NRSWA Street works Supervisors Ticket
*Used to running crews
*Safety conscious and compliant
*Excellent communication skills
*Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety practices
