The role will develop internal training programmes covering both mandatory training needs and development training needs ie technical, soft skills, IT courses ensuring that employees carry out their roles in a compliant and effective way. My client is looking for someone knowledgeable in their field of expertise and process solid technical aptitude, and to contribute to the development of individual skills to meet the needs of the organisation.
*Input to the Annual Training Plan, ensuring that the appropriate refresher training and proactive interventions are planned for the year, ensuring that the requirements for Greenford, Cambridge and Preston are adequately covered.
*Design and develop learning interventions according to organisational requirements. Develop appropriate training materials, sometimes bespoke, including agendas and training schedules to meet those requirements.
*Input to the induction programme for new starters, ensuring an effective introduction to the business and that Managers and the HR team are aware of requirements and their responsibilities.
*Ensure that materials are updated and refreshed as procedures, priorities and business needs change.
*Develop appropriate training across blended learning methods, e.g.
classroom, e-learning, videos, 1-2-1 sessions, lunchtime briefings, toolbox talks, and via Skype.
*Work with Sales & Marketing to ensure we develop and deliver appropriate internal training on our products and capabilities
*Deliver training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually, or support with organising sessions to be run by others internally or externally.
*Utilise the appropriate system for organising, running, keeping and reporting on information related to completed courses, absences, issues etc. Ensure attendee's training records are updated with attendance and issue 'Certificates of Attendance' where appropriate.
*Observe and evaluate results of training programmes and make improvement as needed.
*Make recommendations for improving the department's processes to increase business effectiveness.
*Undertake other tasks/activities that reasonably fall within the scope of the Trainer's abilities.
Skills & Expertise:
*Degree in a relevant technical field (Desirable)
*Certification in a Training Field
*Proven experience as trainer
*Proven experience and knowledge of modern training techniques and
*Experience in designing course content, including that of a technical nature
*Ability to address training needs with complete courses
*Ability to lead and/or participate in several projects at a time with excellent organisational skills

The role will require all employees to achieve and maintain SC security clearance or above without restrictions that will inhibit the individual's ability to fulfil the requirements of the role. Your eligibility for the appropriate level of security clearance may be discussed with you during the recruitment process. Any existing clearance holders may be able to transfer clearance (subject to approval).
