About the role
They are seeking a Graduate/Junior Engineer to work within their highly driven and innovative team.
The successful candidate will be expected to work within a dynamic environment developing and testing innovative solutions across a wide variety of emerging technologies, but with emphasis in the radio frequency domain. These solutions will be forward looking, push the boundaries of science and engineering and will introduce new techniques to the research and development of leading edge sensors to meet client needs.
Key to the success of their, generally short, programmes is a clear and thorough understanding of the client’s need. To this end, it is essential that the Graduate/Junior Engineer can communicate effectively with Team Leaders to enable rapid and effective implementation of tasks.
About you
Successful candidates will be educated to Degree or BTec level in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science. Particular experience that would be useful includes:
  • Modern equipment techniques and controlled tear-down
  • Radio Frequency design/build/test
  • Development of software to support the laboratory use of equipment
  • Ability to work from formal Requirement and Design Documents
  • Production of prototype and pre-production models of equipment
  • Executing Trials to demonstrate the effectiveness of equipment.

A willingness to relocate to the southwest is essential.

Overview

•              Position – Senior or Principal Software Engineer (SFIA 5 or 6)
•              Permanent Location – Bristol Area / South West
•              Salary – £30,000 - £35,000 per annum depending upon experience

This is a Permanent Role and is not suitable for hybrid or home/remote working
