Senior Electronics Engineer

Drive the development of electronic hardware as a Senior Electronics Engineer, ensuring that the design team not only meets but exceeds customer, company, and legal requirements.
 
This defence contractor specialises in the design, development, integration and through-life support of successful yet cost-effective military systems and also has their own range of products to support their clients.
 
You will be responsible for leading your team through the entire engineering lifecycle.
 
Your responsibilities:

• Conceptual design of systems and sub-systems to meet a set of defined requirements.
• Leading a team through implementation of the design and subsequent verification and validation activities.
• Demonstrate compliance with the requirements to the customer in the presence of our quality representatives.

 
You will have:

• Understanding of the engineering lifecycle with significant experience in electronics design.
• Leadership experience in an engineering team with the ability to mentor junior engineers.
• Experience with designing, implementing and testing electronic hardware with the ability to turn customer requirements into a design concept.
• Experience meeting legal compliance and safety requirements, e.g. EMC requirements.
• Engineering degree or equivalent in electronics or a related discipline.

 
Key information:

• Role: Senior Electronics Engineer
• Location: Chertsey, Surrey (hybrid – 2/3 days a week on-site)
• Salary: £55,000-£65,000 dependent on the level of experience
• You will need to be eligible to obtain security clearance (SC).
