Quality Engineer - Systems

Your experience of Quality Engineering will help you to support the administration and co-ordination of all quality processes within the quality team. As a Quality Engineer – Systems you will support the Quality Manager with all quality audit and administration activities.

About the job:
 
Our client currently requires a Quality Engineer - Systems to be responsible for supporting
the administration and co-ordination of all quality processes within the team in order to ensure
compliance with the relevant standards. The role will include;
 

• Plan and conduct internal audits in alignment with the appropriate standards, document findings and ensure improvement / corrective actions are implemented and effective.
• Support the Quality Manager with the administration of IR's, in addition to IR report generation.
• Support the Quality Manager with external auditors as required.
• Work with departments across the business and provide support with problem solving and other quality initiatives.
• Conduct supplier audits, document findings and ensure improvement / corrective actions are implemented and effective.
• Work with the Purchasing team and suppliers in order to support with component issue resolution.
• Support with the administration and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Gather data and generate reports to support decision making within the team and wider business.
• Support the Quality Manager to ensure the ongoing compliance with the relevant quality, industry and regulatory standards.
• Identify the need for and support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
• Be an ambassador across the business for compliance with all appropriate guidance for legal and regulatory compliance as well as company policies/procedures.
• Other duties as required.

About you:
As a Quality Engineer - Systems your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• Confident with influencing stakeholders at a senior level
• Proven experience of designing new processes
• Must be self-motivated and happy to take ownership of projects to drive them forwards.
• Is comfortable with and happy to take a practical and hands on approach to tasks.
• Knowledge and experience of root cause analysis and corrective action, logical approach to resolution of issues
• Proven experience of collating, analysing, and presenting data.
• Prior experience of working in a similar role within an engineering environment or ISO9001 environment.

It would be useful to have;

• Experience of working in a practical electronics environment.
• Experience in conducting audits against ISO9001, processing audit documentation and improvement reports.
• Experience in administration and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)
