Develop novel capabilities and solutions for high power RF and microwave systems by utilising your scientific background in Electromagnetics, Microwave Frequency, Metamaterials, RF modelling or similar subjects as a Low Observability Technologist for this defence organisation.
This well-established defence company produces military weapons systems and takes a novel approach to product development and testing. You will be rewarded for your hard work significantly with bonuses, annual salary reviews and paid overtime among other benefits.
You would be involved in the research and development of complex RF, microwave and electromagnetic solutions with your day-to-day work varying immensely.

You would be involved in the research and development of complex RF, microwave and electromagnetic solutions with your day-to-day work varying immensely.
About the Role:
- Conduct modelling of electromagnetic or particle propagation.
- Produce research studies on novel theories or concepts.
- Define test campaign validation approaches, conducting hands on measurement / experimentation.
- Co-ordinate various areas of the wider business to manufacture test articles.
About You:
- A degree in physical sciences, electronics or communications engineering, or similar; advantageous to have higher degree (masters / PhD) in the same area but not required.
- Prior experience/knowledge in one or more of the following areas: RF design, familiarity with radar, antenna design, Metamaterials, Microwave Frequency Spectroscopy or Plasma characterisation - any hands-on practical / laboratory skills would be a bonus.
- Familiarity with at least one of the well-known computer simulation tools often used for electromagnetic modelling; for example, CST MWS, COMSOL, FEKO, Matlab, or Python.

- Bristol – hybrid working 3-4 days a week on-site
- For this role, you must be willing to undertake the DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance.
