Job Description

Your experience working in Quality Assurance (both internal and supplier) and knowledge of the nuclear industry will play a crucial part in managing project quality arrangements across all aspects of the project lifecycle. As a Project Quality Assurance Engineer, you will ensure that project audit activities are undertaken and manage and close out quality non-conformances.

You will be working for a leading engineering services and support organisation as part of their nuclear / energy business. About the Job:

Our client requires a Project Quality Assurance Engineer to manage project quality arrangements across all aspects of the project lifecycle and will be required to do the following:
Implementing and managing project quality arrangements.
Advising on all aspects of quality management on projects, including risks and issues.
Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers and Suppliers.
Implementing appropriate auditing arrangements within the project, both internally and externally (e.g. Suppliers).
Provide man hour/cost estimates as part of the quality input to bids / tenders and when requested provide estimates to complete to the Project Manager.
Participation in project meetings and contract review / handover meetings.
Supporting the project team in managing and closing out quality non conformances / issues.
Ensuring Supplier quality arrangements are reviewed and approved / acceptance in accordance with project requirements, including Customer approvals, e.g. up-front manufacturing documentation (QCP's, weld schedules, weld procedures, NDE procedures).
Liaising with customers to understand their requirements/expectations for quality assurance, quality control and inspection.
Review of enquiry, tender and contract documentation with respect to customers' quality requirements and contract specifications, identifying any project specific requirements which fall outside the company quality system.
Review of purchase requisitions / purchase orders for quality requirements input.
Carrying out supplier assessments.
About You:
To be the right fit for this Project Quality Assurance Engineer job, you will have experience of both internal and external Quality Engineering in a nuclear environment. You will need knowledge and experience of Quality Management Systems and be IS09001 Auditor trained. Good working knowledge of quality tools and problem solving techniques are needed.
