Do you have Systems Engineering experience within critical national infrastructure or nuclear sectors? Do you want to work on exciting safety critical projects? If so, we have a great opportunity working for an established engineering consultancy who’s specialism is bridging the gap between strategy and operations. They are looking for people who can lead others and want to use their safety and engineering knowledge in a systems engineering environment to shape projects.

As a Deputy Lead Systems Consultant, You will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of complex decision analysis projects for clients within the critical national infrastructure (CNI) and potentially the civil nuclear sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant contribution to our organisation and its critical national security mission.
  • Lead and manage junior consultants on assigned decision analysis projects within the CNI and potentially civil nuclear sectors.
  • Work closely with project managers and clients to understand project requirements, define scope, and develop effective decision analysis frameworks.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis using advanced statistical techniques and modelling tools.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear and concise insights for decision-makers.
  • Develop and present compelling recommendations and visualizations to support informed decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in decision analysis theory and methodologies.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of team processes and methodologies.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Manage workload effectively and meet deadlines to a high standard.
Personal Attributes
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, social sciences) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working on decision analysis projects within the CNI or related sectors.
  • Experience working within the civil nuclear sector would be highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage junior consultants and deliver projects to a high standard.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Consultancy or management consultancy background is essential.
  • Full UK Security Clearance (SC) with continued eligibility is mandatory.
