Our client is an established engineering consultancy recognised for tackling the most complex challenges in marine and defence sectors. Key Responsibilities
 

• Lead engineering teams and provide technical assurance on submarine-related projects.
• Support the development of marine engineering capability and customer relationships within the UK and overseas.
• Drive delivery of marine engineering aspects across complex engineering challenges, feasibility studies, and design analyses.
• Contribute to broader consultancy projects and R&D into future submarine concepts and tools.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and support opportunity development across the business.
• Participate in travel to client and office sites as required, including occasional overseas trips.

Qualifications & Experiences
 

• Chartered Engineer status with a recognised professional engineering body.
• Strong technical leadership experience in the submarine domain, preferably service in the UK Royal Navy’s Mechanical/Marine Engineering specialism.
• Alternatively, significant technical expertise in submarine Nuclear Propulsion and Mechanical systems and familiarity with UK MoD submarine processes and clients.
• Excellent communication skills, integrity, and the ability to influence and engage with both internal teams and external customers.
• Demonstrated leadership in developing others and maintaining a respectful, diverse, and collaborative culture.
• Understanding of full platform lifecycle from concept to disposal is advantageous.
• Enthusiastic and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and grow.

Salary: Circa £70,000
Working: Hybrid (with flexibility and some travel to customer sites required)
