What you'll be doing:

  • Developing and executing a strategic client engagement plan across the Land Domain.
  • Creating opportunities and converting them into a bespoke strategic pipeline.
  • Winning annual and long-term opportunities in line with the Marketing and Sales business plan.
  • Developing, maintaining, and executing a sales forecast and pipeline of strategic opportunities.
  • Providing market intelligence and strategic options to support business planning.
  • Working with the Head of Marketing to develop a sector-leading value proposition.
  • Supporting bid writing activity and providing support to project managers.
  • Participating in marketing and sales 'learning from experience' processes.
What you'll need:

  • Ideally, a background in the British Army and understanding of the Land Domain
  • Experience of working with or at DE&S or Army HQ
  • Industry-related background – Engineering is not essential, but some technical credibility would be preferable across Cyber, ILS or Training
  • Experience in a relevant civilian role preferable but not essential.
  • An existing network of customers and influential industry players.
  • Emotionally intelligent, sociable, and engaging personality.
  • Personal drive and appetite to further grow a successful business.
  • Clarity of thought, able to formulate winning strategies.
  • Flexibility in approach, adaptable, tenacious in delivery and follow-through.
  • Team player, committed to success through nurturing the success of others.
  • Eligibility for UK security clearance.

Location - Cheltenham/Hybrid
Due to the nature of work undertaken by our client, incumbents of these positions are required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK Security Vetting to SC Level.
