Systems Design & Verification Engineer
📍 Location: Bristol
💷 Salary: Up to £57,000 (Depending on Experience)
🕒 Hybrid Working: Typically 2–3 days per week on-site
🔐 Security Clearance: Must be eligible for SC clearance

We’re looking for a Systems Design & Verification Engineer to join the Sea Viper programme—an exciting, multi-phase development effort for a critical Royal Navy capability for a leading defence systems provider. About the Role
Sea Viper is undergoing a major capability upgrade. This role is key to delivering the next stage of its lifecycle—supporting system design assurance, leading verification and validation efforts, and ensuring seamless qualification of sub-systems.
You’ll work across a wide engineering scope, with exposure to command & control, radar, and missile technologies. You'll also engage with internal design authorities, suppliers, and end users in a highly collaborative environment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
✅ Planning and executing system-level V&V activities
✅ Developing qualification strategies and capturing compliance evidence
✅ Supporting design reviews and producing high-quality technical documentation
✅ Presenting evidence for internal and external certification
✅ Contributing to risk identification and technical governance
✅ Supporting trials, test events, and reporting on key metrics
✅ Building strong relationships with partners, suppliers, and customers

What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Proven systems engineering experience, particularly in V&V, qualification planning, or system integration
- Awareness of the CADMID lifecycle, with strength in the demonstration/manufacture phases
- Familiarity with command & control, radar, or missile systems is highly desirable
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritise in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Comfortable working across multiple teams and stakeholders
