Senior Electronics Engineer
Stevenage | Circa £52,000 | Hybrid Working
Take the lead in designing and delivering advanced electronic systems that support the integration of complex defence technologies into operational platforms. This is a technically rich role for an experienced engineer ready to guide a multidisciplinary team through the full lifecycle of electronic subsystem development.
The Role
Working within a specialist team focused on launch and control systems, you will lead the design and development of electronic equipment that enables safe, reliable and efficient integration of high-performance systems into platforms. This includes hardware for launch management, datalink and communications, and embedded computing for command and control.
You’ll be responsible for circuit design, prototyping, testing and integration, ensuring compliance with EMC and environmental requirements. The role spans early feasibility studies through to certification and production support, requiring a clear technical vision and structured planning.
Technical Environment
You’ll collaborate with engineers across disciplines, contributing to innovation and delivery in a fast-paced, regulated environment. The team works with cutting-edge embedded systems, high-reliability electronics and complex integration challenges. Your leadership will help shape technical direction and mentor engineers through task delegation and design reviews.

What You’ll Bring
- Degree-qualified or equivalent experience in electronic design
- Strong background in circuit and system design for EMC and environmental compliance
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
- Interest or experience in team leadership and technical direction
- Excellent problem-solving, planning and communication skills
- Company bonus up to £2,500
