Principal Systems Verification & Validation Engineer

Role Overview
A leading engineering organisation is seeking a Principal Systems Verification & Validation Engineer to plan, conduct, and report V&V work packages and activities. The successful candidate will ensure hardware and software products meet their associated requirements and support multi-disciplined project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead V&V activities across requirements, design, integration, and test stages
  • Promote best practice for V&V lifecycle in line with industry standards
  • Supervise and guide junior V&V engineers
  • Compile and review management plans, processes, and metrics
  • Conduct fault and issue investigation with root cause analysis and remediation
  • Report task progress and compliance to management and project teams
  • Apply security measures related to V&V activities
Essential Requirements
  • Degree, HND or HNC in Systems, Software, or Control Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience (5+ years) planning and conducting IVVTQA activities
  • Competence in requirements management tools such as DOORS
  • Knowledge of Defence or industry standard V&V compliance
  • Experience supervising or mentoring engineers
Desirable Skills
  • Strong problem-solving through root cause analysis
  • Effective stakeholder communication
  • Experience coaching junior engineers
