Senior Procurement Engineer

Take ownership of procurement strategies and supplier management to optimise cost, quality and delivery performance. Lead a team to embed best-practice systems that support efficient operations and business growth.

What you will need

• Strong procurement experience within a manufacturing or operational environment
• Proven negotiation skills and supplier performance management
• Leadership experience managing procurement or supply teams
• Solid understanding of inventory control and logistics processes

What you will be doing

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
• Lead supplier negotiations and manage supplier performance using KPIs and contract reviews
• Oversee stock accuracy and inventory reporting to support operational needs
• Manage stores operations and collaborate on logistics improvements
• Lead, coach and develop a procurement and logistics team
• Deliver cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service

Your experience

• CIPS Level 5 or Level 6, or working towards qualification, or equivalent experience
• Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven decision making
• Strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in continuous improvement and operational efficiency
