Complex Weapon Systems Design Engineer
Take ownership of complex weapon system design and shape end-to-end solutions in a high-profile defence environment. Influence technical decisions and advance your career with challenging, impactful projects.
What you will need
• British nationality with Security Check clearance in place
• Experience in complex weapon systems design, including guidance, propulsion, and airframe integration
• Knowledge of MOD acquisition and lifecycle management processes
• Proven ability to collaborate across technical disciplines and with external stakeholders
Salary and rewards
Between £75000 - £85000
What you will be doing
• Lead top-level design from concept to implementation for complex weapon systems
• Define system requirements and manage interfaces across subsystems
• Perform trade-off studies to balance performance, cost, and risk
• Support verification, validation, and modelling of integrated systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, software, and test engineers
Your experience
• Graduate in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with MOD standards, policies, and procedures for weapon design
• Expertise in systems engineering, integration, verification, and test evaluation
• Experience integrating multiple subsystems
• Experience managing safety-critical systems (ideally missile systems)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Where you will work
Hybrid role with some travel to Bristol and London
