Control Systems Software Engineer
Salary: £45,000–£65,000 Depending on Experience
Location: New Malden – Hybrid Working: 2-3 Days a Week On-Site
Design, develop and maintain cutting-edge SCADA solutions for mission-critical naval platform management systems, deployed on the UK submarine fleet.

About You:
Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore, these vacancies are only open to sole British Nationals. Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.

About the Role:
- Specify, design and test solutions for SCADA Systems and operating systems using RedHat
- Capture and develop customer requirements to produce technical documentation
- Specify, design and test solutions for control systems
- Validate software designs through analysis and testing
- Provide input to project meetings and team briefings
About You:
- Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent in Software, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in the use of High-Level Programming Languages within SCADA IDE environments such as VB, C#/C
- Hands-on knowledge of RedHat Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles, processes and procedures
- Experience within Defence, Maritime (Ship’s machinery and control systems), Aerospace, or a similarly regulated industrial sector (e.g. Oil & Gas, Pharma or PetroChem)
- You must be a sole British National eligible for high-level government security clearance.
