Licensed Aircraft Engineer

This is an opportunity to step into a Licensed Aircraft Engineer role within a highly regulated, mission critical aviation environment supporting complex operational requirements across UK and overseas locations. You will be part of a team where safety, compliance and continuous improvement are central to everything delivered.

What you will need
  • British Citizen status due to the nature of regulated aviation and defence related work
  • Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC)
  • Unrestricted CAA Part 66 B1.1 licence
  • Strong understanding of regulatory aircraft maintenance requirements within a Part 145 environment
  • Experience supervising or supporting engineering teams within a maintenance operations setting
  • Applications will also be considered if you have experiecne working as an Aircraft Mechanic and have completed some B1.1 modules or want to gain this as the company will fund and support this

Your role
  • Certify aircraft maintenance activities in line with regulatory and organisational requirements
  • Support safe and compliant aircraft operations across base and deployed locations in the UK and overseas
  • Supervise and coordinate engineering tasks to ensure operational targets and customer requirements are met
  • Deputise for senior engineering leadership when required
  • Maintain accurate aircraft documentation and ensure audit readiness at all times
  • Promote a safety first culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What you bring
  • Technical capability, CAA Part 66 B1.1 licence with strong grounding in aircraft maintenance operations
  • Experience working within regulated aviation environments, ideally Part 145 maintenance organisations
  • Proven ability to supervise, guide and motivate engineering teams under operational pressure
  • Strong understanding of compliance, safety and airworthiness standards
  • Confident communication skills with a proactive and structured approach to problem solving
  • Behavioural capability, team focused, resilient and committed to high standards of operational delivery
