Systems Design Engineer
Location: Bristol
Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience
Hybrid Working: 4-5 days per week on-site
Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK National with British Citizenship

As a Systems Design Engineer, you'll work across a diverse range of advanced technology projects, acting as the bridge between technical specialists, system designers, programme teams, and key stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading early lifecycle investigations to explore future concepts and answer complex "what if" scenarios.
- Supporting technology specialists through trade studies and systems analysis activities.
- Developing system architectures, requirements, and performance assessments at system, subsystem, and equipment levels.
- Supporting verification planning and execution, including trials, evidence gathering, and technical documentation.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver technology demonstrations and future capability concepts.
- Working across the full systems engineering lifecycle and V-model.
We're interested in candidates with Systems Engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Functional architecture development.
- Requirements capture, development, and management.
- Systems Engineering tools such as DOORS, DOORS Next, or Rhapsody.
- Trade studies and option analysis.
- Requirements conflict resolution and design investigations.
- Working independently on technically complex challenges.
- Delivering engineering outputs within fast-paced project environments.
- Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience.
- Company bonus of up to £2,500.
