Fire Protection Engineer

Summary
Take ownership of complex fire protection delivery across major infrastructure assets. Shape installation, testing and compliance end to end while working across integrated teams. Build depth in large scale project delivery.
Where you will work
The role is workable at a few sites in West London on a hybrid basis
What you will be doing
• Take full ownership of passive fire protection delivery across allocated assets, from design validation through installation to final handover
• Plan and coordinate works packages, including sequencing, resource planning, procurement inputs and pre start readiness
• Drive quality assurance on site, ensuring inspection and test plans are followed, records are completed and evidence supports compliance and certification
• Work closely with subcontractors to review and progress design, resolve technical queries and confirm solutions meet specification and regulatory standards
• Integrate your scope into the wider programme, coordinating with planning, commercial and engineering teams to maintain progress and manage risk
• Monitor delivery performance against programme and productivity targets, identifying issues early and implementing corrective actions
Your experience
• Proven track record delivering passive fire protection within complex construction or major infrastructure environments
• Strong understanding of site based MEP delivery, including installation, inspection, testing and commissioning processes
• Experience reviewing and supporting subcontractor design, with the ability to challenge and improve technical solutions
• Working knowledge of NEC contracts and how they influence programme control, change management and reporting
• Confident operating in a multi stakeholder environment, engaging with internal teams, suppliers and external partners
• Skilled in maintaining accurate site records including diaries, quality documentation and progress updates
What you will need
• Experience delivering passive fire protection systems across design, installation and commissioning
• Degree or equivalent in civil, electrical or fire engineering
• Practical knowledge of construction sequencing and site delivery
• Experience working with NEC construction contracts
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a live project environment
