Electus Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Systems Architect to support the development of complex engineering systems through a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach.

Working within an established architecture function, you will take responsibility for a defined area of system design and contribute to architecture deliverables and work packages throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain system architecture models using an appropriate architecture modelling tool and established MBSE principles.
  • Collaboratively develop system architecture with technical stakeholders, representing system behaviours, functions and logical and physical structures.
  • Apply a middle-out approach to architecture development, identifying conflicts, gaps and interfaces to help reduce technical risk.
  • Ensure architecture development aligns with defined architecture management processes and plans.
  • Work closely with Requirements and Integration teams to support the development and refinement of system and subsystem requirements.
  • Support system integration, testing, verification and validation activities.
  • Take ownership of architecture activities and deliverables within agreed programme timescales and milestones.
The successful Systems Architect will bring:

  • Proven experience in Systems Engineering and Systems Architecture within a complex engineering environment.
  • Practical experience of MBSE and architecture modelling.
  • Experience developing system behaviours, functions and logical and physical architectures.
  • An understanding of requirements, integration, verification and validation across the engineering lifecycle.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working within structured systems engineering processes and delivering against programme milestones.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Systems Architect or senior Systems Engineer with strong architecture and MBSE experience to contribute to a complex engineering programme on an initial six-month contract.

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules. Applicants will need to be cleared to a minimum SC level.
