Summary

The role is based in South Dorset with a hybrid working pattern, occasional travel will be required

Your role
- Take ownership of contractual and commercial matters across a complex programme
- Manage contract amendments, variations and changes while identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Lead commercial negotiations and support the establishment of appropriate agreements
- Develop and manage high-value and complex subcontract arrangements
- Work across project delivery, procurement, finance, engineering and supply chain functions
- Monitor contractual performance and help resolve complex commercial issues and disputes
- Proven experience structuring, negotiating and closing commercial agreements
- Strong contract and commercial risk management capability
- Experience reviewing and negotiating contractual terms and conditions
- Understanding of international commercial matters such as export controls, warranties, guarantees, bonds or letters of credit
- Good understanding of financial information and the commercial implications of contractual decisions
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to provide practical commercial advice across multidisciplinary teams
- A number of years’ relevant commercial and contract management experience
- Strong experience managing complex contracts and commercial relationships
- Experience within defence or another highly regulated international environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance
